ATENASTUDIO, along with 3TI PROGETTI ITALIA and KREJ ENGINEERING shared with us their proposal for the International Design Competition for the Re-Development of the Former Hospital in Riva del Garda, Italy. More images and architect’s description after the break.
The area concerned is on the edge of the historic fabric with important architectural ruins , but has no direct visual and functional relationship with the surrounding urban areas. The new building is manifested as a building directed in all ways; acting as an ordering elemnt around the surrounding construction sector, taking up a series of alignments of the existing buildings. The project idea was articulated by setting a uniform functional machine with the existing RSA, both for the permeability of the services and for the “public” feature.
